An Emoticon , Smiley or Emotional Icon

is a sequence of ordinary characters you can find on your computer keyboard. Emoticons are used in e-mail and other forms of communication using computers such as chatting. The most popular emoticon is the smiling face (smiley) .These emoticons show an Emotion through an Icon. Over a hundred of these Emoticons are being used, here you have our own representation: 4^th Grade had a very entertaining morning . Enjoy!!!!!

Activities in CLIL

As everybody knows in Primary we have a  Bilingual  and a Plurilingual section  in Arts . We are doing lots of activities but we have only space for a few ones:

Crafts: a bookmark , a crab box, a ship, a 3D crocodile , a 3D  jeep, masks-used in the very ancients plays – a 3d recration of a hunt in the Ice Age , a hangerdoor , the game of the discovery of America and of course, pinecones angels and stars for Christmas.

Paintings:

We worked with different famous paintings, doing the students own version or doing jigsaws. Some of them were: Henri Matisse “The Dance”, Paul Gaugain “An orchard under the church of Bihorel”, Leonardo da Vinci “Lady with an Ermine” and Franz Marc “The Blue Horse”.

Apart from those,  we returned to the dinosaurs age and we draw our footprint, we create a tangram to form different shapes .We designed our particular Vitruvian man and we constructed classical columns Doric, Ionic and Corinthian.

Inspired by the great situation comedy tradition, we take a humorous look at the hopes and frustrations of everyday life from a teenage perspective. Our loveable characters invite the audience to share the ups and downs of adolescent existence  as they deal with first love, best friends and strict parents. PLUS... the interactive fun reaches its climax with a game-show ending specially  designed to playfully test the students' comprehension of the show! This totally dynamic immersion in English combines carefully  graded speech and controlled interaction with great original songs... and lots of laughs! A motivating theatrical and linguistic experience .
